Thank you, Lord of lords, for bringing me to this blessed country, Canada. Today, everyone celebrates Canada — some are out enjoying the day, others, like me, are celebrating quietly at home with family. But I celebrate first with my first family — you, Lord of lords.
I came to this country through the path you set for me, walking in the way of Psalm 1 since my childhood. This country has truly blessed me. Today, after a long time, I opened your word again, and reading Psalm 1 reminded my heart that I owed you thanksgiving — thanksgiving for financial independence on Canada Day.
I have PWD support, and it removed a burden I had carried on my head. I look at myself now and know that I am blessed. I am a special child of God — even as the seasons of my life have changed since childhood, your care has not. This country’s government gave me hope, but I know that hope was truly given by you. My circumstances may not have changed everything, but godliness is profitable for all things, in every season.
Thank you, Lord, for the government you set in place, and for the rule of law established here from the beginning. Thank you for my protection. Thank you to the First Nations peoples, and to all who had a part in building this country. Thank you, God, for showing me that your word is true and living — that we truly are your sons and daughters.
Thank you for feeding me, and for the rule that made financial independence possible through disability support — a rule that gives hope to every person, especially those who long to stand on their own. Amen.
I love you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for bringing me to this blessed country. Keep me alive in this season. Protect me. Give me hope for the work you have set before me in this land.
Merci, Seigneur des seigneurs, de m’avoir amenée dans ce pays béni, le Canada. Aujourd’hui, tout le monde célèbre le Canada — certains profitent de la journée dehors, d’autres, comme moi, célèbrent tranquillement à la maison avec leur famille. Mais moi, je célèbre d’abord avec ma première famille — toi, Seigneur des seigneurs.
Je suis arrivée dans ce pays par le chemin que tu as tracé pour moi, marchant selon le Psaume 1 depuis mon enfance. Ce pays m’a vraiment bénie. Aujourd’hui, après longtemps, j’ai rouvert ta parole, et la lecture du Psaume 1 a rappelé à mon cœur que je te devais une action de grâce — une action de grâce pour l’indépendance financière, en ce jour du Canada.
Je bénéficie du soutien aux personnes handicapées (PWD), et cela a enlevé un fardeau que je portais sur ma tête. Je me regarde aujourd’hui et je sais que je suis bénie. Je suis une enfant spéciale de Dieu — même si les saisons de ma vie ont changé depuis l’enfance, ton soin, lui, n’a pas changé. Le gouvernement de ce pays m’a donné de l’espoir, mais je sais que cet espoir venait vraiment de toi. Mes circonstances n’ont peut-être pas tout changé, mais la piété est utile à toutes choses, en toute saison.
Merci, Seigneur, pour le gouvernement que tu as établi ici, et pour la primauté du droit instaurée dès le début. Merci pour ma protection. Merci aux peuples des Premières Nations, et à tous ceux qui ont contribué à bâtir ce pays. Merci, Dieu, de m’avoir montré que ta parole est vraie et vivante — que nous sommes vraiment tes fils et tes filles.
Merci de me nourrir, et pour la règle qui a rendu possible l’indépendance financière par le soutien aux personnes handicapées — une règle qui donne de l’espoir à chaque personne, surtout à celles qui aspirent à se tenir debout par elles-mêmes. Amen.
Je t’aime, Père, Fils et Saint-Esprit, de m’avoir amenée dans ce pays béni. Garde-moi en vie en cette saison. Protège-moi. Donne-moi l’espérance pour l’œuvre que tu as préparée pour moi dans ce pays.
תודה לך, אדוני האדונים, שהבאת אותי אל הארץ המבורכת הזאת, קנדה. היום כולם חוגגים את קנדה — יש שיוצאים לחגוג בחוץ, ויש, כמוני, שחוגגים בשקט בבית עם המשפחה. אבל אני חוגגת קודם כול עם משפחתי הראשונה — איתך, אדוני האדונים.
הגעתי לארץ הזאת בדרך שהכנת לי, הולכת לפי מזמור א׳ מאז ילדותי. הארץ הזאת באמת ברכה אותי. היום, אחרי זמן רב, פתחתי שוב את דברך, וקריאת מזמור א׳ הזכירה ללבי שאני חייבת לך תודה — תודה על עצמאות כלכלית, ביום קנדה הזה.
יש לי תמיכה לאנשים עם מוגבלות (PWD), וזה הסיר מעליי משא שנשאתי. אני מסתכלת על עצמי היום ויודעת שאני מבורכת. אני ילדה מיוחדת של אלוהים — גם אם תקופות חיי השתנו מאז הילדות, הדאגה שלך לא השתנתה. ממשלת הארץ הזאת נתנה לי תקווה, אך אני יודעת שהתקווה הזאת ניתנה לי באמת ממך. הנסיבות שלי אולי לא שינו הכול, אך היראה משתלמת לכול, בכל עת.
תודה, אדוני, על הממשלה שהקמת כאן, ועל שלטון החוק שנקבע מההתחלה. תודה על ההגנה שלי. תודה לעמי האומות הראשונות, ולכל מי שהיה חלק מבניית הארץ הזאת. תודה, אלוהים, שהראית לי שדברך אמת וחי — שאנחנו באמת בניך ובנותיך.
תודה שאתה מפרנס אותי, ועל החוק שאיפשר עצמאות כלכלית דרך תמיכה לאנשים עם מוגבלות — חוק שנותן תקווה לכל אדם, ובמיוחד למי שמבקש לעמוד על רגליו. אמן.

The Tree Planted by the Rivers of Water
L’arbre planté près d’un courant d’eau
כְּעֵץ שָׁתוּל עַל פַּלְגֵי מָיִם
1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
1Heureux l’homme qui ne marche pas selon le conseil des méchants, qui ne s’arrête pas sur la voie des pécheurs, et qui ne s’assied pas en compagnie des moqueurs,
2Mais qui trouve son plaisir dans la loi de l’Éternel, et qui la médite jour et nuit!
3Il est comme un arbre planté près d’un courant d’eau, qui donne son fruit en sa saison, et dont le feuillage ne se flétrit point: tout ce qu’il fait lui réussit.
4Il n’en est pas ainsi des méchants: ils sont comme la paille que le vent dissipe.
5C’est pourquoi les méchants ne résistent pas au jour du jugement, ni les pécheurs dans l’assemblée des justes;
6Car l’Éternel connaît la voie des justes, et la voie des pécheurs mène à la ruine.
אאַשְׁרֵי הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא הָלַךְ בַּעֲצַת רְשָׁעִים, וּבְדֶרֶךְ חַטָּאִים לֹא עָמָד, וּבְמוֹשַׁב לֵצִים לֹא יָשָׁב.
בכִּי אִם בְּתוֹרַת יְהוָה חֶפְצוֹ, וּבְתוֹרָתוֹ יֶהְגֶּה יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה.
גוְהָיָה כְּעֵץ שָׁתוּל עַל פַּלְגֵי מָיִם, אֲשֶׁר פִּרְיוֹ יִתֵּן בְּעִתּוֹ, וְעָלֵהוּ לֹא יִבּוֹל, וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשֶׂה יַצְלִיחַ.
דלֹא כֵן הָרְשָׁעִים, כִּי אִם כַּמֹּץ אֲשֶׁר תִּדְּפֶנּוּ רוּחַ.
העַל כֵּן לֹא יָקֻמוּ רְשָׁעִים בַּמִּשְׁפָּט, וְחַטָּאִים בַּעֲדַת צַדִּיקִים.
וכִּי יוֹדֵעַ יְהוָה דֶּרֶךְ צַדִּיקִים, וְדֶרֶךְ רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵד.

A Land Flowing with Milk and Honey
Un pays où coulent le lait et le miel
אֶרֶץ זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבָשׁ
7Then we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:
8And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
9And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
11And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house.
7Nous criâmes à l’Éternel, le Dieu de nos pères; l’Éternel entendit notre voix, et il vit notre oppression, nos travaux et nos souffrances.
8Et l’Éternel nous fit sortir d’Égypte, à main forte et à bras étendu, avec des signes et des prodiges.
9Il nous a conduits dans ce lieu, et il nous a donné ce pays, pays où coulent le lait et le miel.
11Puis tu te réjouiras, avec le Lévite et avec l’étranger qui sera au milieu de toi, pour tous les biens que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’a donnés.
זוַנִּצְעַק אֶל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֵינוּ, וַיִּשְׁמַע יְהוָה אֶת קֹלֵנוּ, וַיַּרְא אֶת עָנְיֵנוּ וְאֶת עֲמָלֵנוּ וְאֶת לַחֲצֵנוּ.
חוַיּוֹצִאֵנוּ יְהוָה מִמִּצְרַיִם בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרֹעַ נְטוּיָה, וּבְמֹרָא גָּדֹל, וּבְאֹתוֹת וּבְמֹפְתִים.
טוַיְבִאֵנוּ אֶל הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה, וַיִּתֶּן לָנוּ אֶת הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת, אֶרֶץ זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבָשׁ.
יאוְשָׂמַחְתָּ בְכָל הַטּוֹב אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּלְבֵיתֶךָ.

Make Canada Blessed, As Your Word Has Said
Rends le Canada béni, comme le dit ta parole
בָּרֵךְ אֶת קָנָדָה, כִּדְבָרְךָ
Lord, bless this country as your word says — bless its finances, bless its land, bless its people, bless its environment. I pray Psalm 1 and Deuteronomy over Canada: that it would be planted like a tree by rivers of water, unshaken and fruitful in every season — a land flowing with milk and honey, for every one of your sons and daughters who calls it home.
Seigneur, bénis ce pays comme le dit ta parole — bénis ses finances, bénis sa terre, bénis son peuple, bénis son environnement. Je prie le Psaume 1 et le Deutéronome sur le Canada : qu’il soit planté comme un arbre près des courants d’eau, inébranlable et fécond en toute saison — un pays où coulent le lait et le miel, pour chacun de tes fils et de tes filles qui l’appelle sa demeure.
אֲדוֹנָי, בָּרֵךְ אֶת הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת כִּדְבָרְךָ — בָּרֵךְ אֶת כַּלְכָּלָתָהּ, בָּרֵךְ אֶת אַדְמָתָהּ, בָּרֵךְ אֶת עַמָּהּ, בָּרֵךְ אֶת סְבִיבָתָהּ. אֲנִי מִתְפַּלֶּלֶת אֶת מִזְמוֹר א׳ וְאֶת סֵפֶר דְּבָרִים עַל קָנָדָה: שֶׁתִּהְיֶה נְטוּעָה כְּעֵץ עַל פַּלְגֵי מַיִם, לֹא תִּמּוֹט וְתִשָּׂא פְּרִי בְּכָל עֵת — אֶרֶץ זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבָשׁ, לְכָל בֵּן וּבַת הַקּוֹרְאִים לָהּ בַּיִת.
